Dalida Akhal-Teke Czech Association is the biggest Akhal-Teke
breeder in Czech Republic and belongs to the biggest
purebred Akhal-Teke breeders in Europe. The Association
was established in 2005, initiated by Mr. Michal Cerveny, at the site of a renovated farm
named Kvastov in the south of Czech Republic, about 70
km from Prague.
The horse breeding activities began prior to the
establishment of the Association with Czech Warm-blood
horses. The first Akhal- Teke mares arrived to the farm
in 2004 and today, Akhal-Tehe horses are the only type
of horse bred there. The first arrivals originated from
the Havlicek farm, followed by purchases from other
breeders in the country and imports from e.g. Estonia,
Sweden, Russia and Hungary. The current breeding herd
count amounts to approximately 45 horses (the number
depends on the births of foals and on the sales),
purebred Akhal-Teke horses as well as some crossed with
other breeds lines Kir Sakar, Peren, Posman, Gelishikli,
Sere, El, Kaplan and Arab, Gundogar , Toporbai and Fakir
Pelvan.
The goals of the Association
The goals of DALIDA Akhal-Teke Czech Association are simple:
Nowadays, to bring back to life the unique
characteristics of the Akhal-Teke breed, focusing not
only on their sport and leisure purposes but also on
psychical and physical relaxation being provided to the
people through the common life with these magical horses.
To reach this we renovate our farm and modernize the
stables in order to build up a multipurpose Akhal-Teke
horse centre with the main activity being own breed. We
prepare our horses for top sport performances in
dressage and endurance. Our Association provides the
opportunity to bring near the Akhal-Teke horses from
their country of origin to the breeders all over the
world using the strategic location in the middle of
Europe.
Yours sincerely chairman association Michal Cerveny
